Federico Stanham works in the Advisory Department of Grant Thornton Uruguay as Partner.
CPA degree in the Accountancy, Business and Economic School of the Public State University. He has participated of the Masters in Finance of the Universidad de la República (UDELAR) from Montevideo. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) credential. Within Grant Thornton, Federico has participated in several international TAS trainings involving valuations, M&A and due diligence.
He is a professor of Investment Projects and Corporate Finance at the Universidad de Montevideo, acting as mentor of the CFA Research Challenge for teams of the Master in Finance of the Economics Masters and Postgraduate Unit of the Universidad de Montevideo.
In 2017 Federico contributed to the foundation of Investment Professionals Association of Uruguay, which was then accepted as CFA Society of Uruguay member of the CFA Institute.
Additionally, he is an active volunteer of the CFA Institute collaborating with the CFA and CIPM Programs. His experience includes leading several valuation, due diligence and M&A engagements involving middle market private equity firms and local corporations, multinational companies, strategic corporate acquirers, lenders and private equity firms.
Federico has TAS experience, including buy- and sell-side financial due diligence (including quality of earnings analyses; cash flow drivers; investigating revenue stream and profitability drivers; examining operating cost structure and sustainability factors; reviewing quality and realization of assets and liabilities; identifying working capital requirements and negotiating positions; post-close working capital verification and adjustment mechanisms). He also has performed numerous valuation engagements regarding agribusinesses and distribution companies and also lead and been responsible for numerous Business Risk Services projects, rendering internal audit, governance and risk management, and regulatory services.
